The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft
is one of the leading organizations of applied research in Europe,
undertaking contract research on behalf
of industry,
the service sector and the government with 80 research establishments
at 40 locations throughout Germany. The Fraunhofer Microelectronics Alliance
VµE co-ordinates the activities of the 9 Fraunhofer institutes
working in the fields of micro- and nanoelectronics and micro-integration.
Within this Alliance, the Fraunhofer Institute of Integrated Systems
and Device Technology (IISB) is dedicated to front-end development. The
department Micro-mechanics, Actuators and Fluidics (MAF) of FhG IZM-M
focuses on solutions for micro-fluidics components (liquids and gases).
In this project, administratively FhG IZM-M is represented by FhG IISB.
Will participate to the networking and to the research activities.
